You breathe, because I bleed

I bleed and I run

Under the sun

In the heat, I sweat

But I run.

My blood is blue

It is filthy

And it is cruel

I am impure to talk to God

I am a sack on the floor

I can only nod

Oh no, do not touch that!

You will make it impure!

It will need to be washed

Because you carry a curse in your womb.

Loves, everywhere,

The red bloody blood you bleed

Which hurts you and keeps you in pain

And then again you run in the heat

Is the one which gives every person their life

And every parent their child

An unwanted daughter or a prayed-for son

And everyone, two legs to run!

That soldier who died of bleeding was murdered not killed

And my blood which stains your valuable expensive clothes

Is the creator of that brave soldier, you filth!

Look at every life in detail

Through the microscope

Every inch of life you call human

Would never have had any hope!

That red shiny blood

She and I bleed from our vaginas

The one you are ashamed of

Makes us fiercer than hyenas!

I am a fire-breather

I breathe through your hate

Because you care only for my silence

And worry about how much I ate.

The eyes to look at the stars

The hands to write stories

The brains to think

The mouths to eat

And everything humanity creates

Is my child

The child of my mothers

The child of that lively blood

It is the world's blessing

Not a curse

Without which

There would be no life in the universe.
