The Fight

I walk down the street.

My ghosts consider themselves to be in for a treat.

In the dark, some search, and I create light.

I am a woman, the world I have to fight.

The dear ones, hypocrites, who let me dream, I call it love.

Impale me each time with their failed words.

In the dark, some search, but I create light.

I am a woman, even my blood, I fight.

I cover my thighs with my hands if my shirt sways,

If not, they will be outraged.

In the dark, I must create my own light.

I am a woman, for my choices, selfishly I fight.

I won’t be the cog in the cycle of destruction,

I break the infinity loop of thrust-down tyranny

To liberate my sisters,

In the dark, I walk to light,

As a woman, I have to fight.

If I choose my words over another hand,

They'll make me the outcast of the clan.

In the dark, I have to create my light.

I am a woman, in and out, everywhere, I fight.

Even God apparently hates me

when I bleed red, not blue.

In those times, I become untouchable with the worst flu.

In the dark, I walk with pain, for my light,

With aches, I fight.

I choose my name over everyone

and to decide my fate

over the unaware choices which came from heaven.

I will burn in the dark, to create my light.

For keeping my body to myself, I fight.

No, I won’t warm my womb

I will warm my pleasure,

even if it means a tomb

I will burn myself if it meant their ashes

I will destroy, to light

I am a woman, I am the strongest in the battleground, to fight.

I dance on these bloody lands

Whose filth is more toxic than my discharge

I dance with my painful feet

I swoon in blood in delight

I will absorb this dark, with my fiery light

I am a woman, I own this fight

I choose my path

No heaven nor hell will give me the plight

I am the Queen of this uneducated hive.

Their sting to make me weak

has only made me ingenious to survive.

The dark is mine and so is the light

I am a woman, no one except for me can win this fight.

In the highest galaxies, I will glide.

In the deepest trenches, I will dive.

While they are busy slugging over their own filth

I turned their attacks into my knives

I own the dark, I am the light

I am a woman, I am the fight.
